Community Buprenorphine Assistance Program (BUPE-AP)
Buprenorphine (also known as brand name Suboxone) is used to help you manage your opioid use, like heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioids and protects you from an opioid overdose. The Buprenorphine Assistance Program covers the cost of buprenorphine products indicated to treat substance use disorder (SUD) for persons who are uninsured or underinsured and not able to cover the cost of these products. This program covers copays and coordinates with patients’ insurers to cover any other out-of-pocket costs. To be eligible for Buprenorphine Assistance Program, people need to be enrolled in the program.
