American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), also known as the Federal Stimulus Package, will provide a greater share of dollars to state and local governments for federally-sponsored health care programs. This means that some of the budget cuts and new taxes that New York State was expecting to have to make can be avoided. It also means that the health care programs listed below will not lose funding and will be able to provide the same kinds of services they have been - even if more people need those services.
