Hospital Designations and 911 Transport
911 Transport
There are important factors to consider when determining the transport decision of a patient including hospital capability, transport distances, transport capability, severity of illness or injury, and patient preference. Getting the patient to the right place at the right time can make a difference with patient outcomes. NYS Department of Health has designated various systems of care to identify those hospitals that meet specific criteria for patient care: https://profiles.health.ny.gov/hospital/designated_center/.
