James Cayea

Jim Cayea began his career with the Clinton County Health Department in 1979 as an Environmental Health Technician. He became a leading facility inspector and developed a knack for working with special event organizers to establish, operate, and maintain safe and sanitary facilities at Mass Gathering events, including the Phish Concert in 1996 and Gathering of the Vibes Event in 1998.

In 2002, Mr. Cayea obtained the Food Safety Inspection Officer (FSIO) 2 rating and has served as the program manager for the food service establishment (FSE) program, campground program, pools/beaches program, the Adolescent Tobacco Use Prevention Act Program (ATUPA) and the West Nile Virus (WNV) program. He is known for providing assistance on any matter, relating to environmental health, human health, and zoonotic information. His character and 30 years of dedicated service shows his commitment to the community and the Clinton County Health Department.
