Radon Test Kit
If you wish to obtain a radon test kit from the New York State Department of Health, please print this "Radon Detector Order Form", fill it out and return it with $8.50 per detector ordered. (New York State Residents ONLY). Requests for the form in an alternate format can be made by contacting the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection.
NOTE: Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing and delivery (perhaps longer depending on demand).

Free Post Mitigation Test Kit
FREE RADON IN AIR TESTING for New York State residents who have had a radon mitigation system installed within a year. Contact the Radon Program at 1-800-458-1158 ext. 27556 for information on obtaining a kit. To qualify for this program, the name and address of the mitigation contractor is required. Additional information requested but not required to obtain the free kit is as follows: the pre-system installation radon concentration, if an external company conducted the radon in air testing, name and address of the radon testing company, otherwise, indicate self-tested, and method of radon in air testing.
NOTE: The post mitigation test should be done within the initial 30 days of system operation.
